Eddie is shocked when he first sees his Captain. He asks captain if he was his second person, and the captain replies with betcha didn't expect me. Captain is a fine looking young man, who looks like he could be a movie star. Although, he has fine looks he has a very short temper and yells alot. Also, his teeth are yellowed with tobacco. Eddie and Captain were very close, almost like brothers. Them and the other people they served with were help in captivity for a very long time, and bonded and worked together tp get out of captivity. They never kept in touch after the war though. Eddie does not know why Captain would be his second person. He thinks that maybe he killed Captain, just like he killed the Blue Man. Clearly, the second person Eddie meets in Heaven is very important.

Unfortunately, he ended up having a heart attack and passing away. The Blue Man taught Eddie that his life was not worthless. He also taught Eddie that he should not feel guilty for what he did. He was only a young boy and was not aware of the consequences of his actions. This was a very meaningful and important part of the novel.

1. Jesus
I would ask him to tell me a story of one of his healings. I would tell him how much I love him and how praying has helped me get through difficult situations in my life. I would let him know how many people believe in him and how he has impacted their lives. 2. Stella I would ask her if she was having fun in Heaven and if there was lots of yummy skirt-steak and green beans for her to eat. I would tell her how much I love her and that I miss her. I think that she should know that she made a huge impact on my life, and that she was such a sweet girl. 3. Grandpa (Great-Grandparents) I would ask them stories about when they were kids and what it was like growing up. I would tell them how much I love them, and let them know hows much I miss them. 4. Caleb (Bratayley) I would ask him if he was making videos in Heaven. I would tell him that his family, friends, and fans miss and love him so much. I would let him know that I wish I could met him. 5. George Washington I would ask him questions about being the first president of the United States. I would tell him about our government and how it has changed. I would let him know how he is one of the most influential people in U.S. history. |
